Midwest Food Bank

Midwest Food Bank seeks to alleviate hunger and poverty by delivering food and disaster relief free of charge to recipients. Their goal is to make a difference in communities and create volunteer opportunities for all.

They serve nonprofit organizations in Indiana allowing many nonprofit organizations and volunteers to take part in weekly/monthly distributions and daily activities by redistributing good, wholesome food that would otherwise be wasted.

Delivering leftover food to pantriesFood Rescue

Food Rescue is a network of volunteers who reclaim leftover retail food from restaurants and schools and deliver it to local food pantries and ministries. Their K-12 Food Rescue Program, currently in over 500 schools, provides hope to end the destructive practice of wasting 40% of our food in America.

Food Rescue empowers students to lead our country away from our culture of food waste by providing them a platform to tell the story of food waste reduction in their own school.
